Advent and Christmas are upon us! And so our new Liturgical Year begins with First Vespers on December 1st at 3:30 PM. We know that Advent serves as a holy season of preparation in commemoration of the coming of Christ in history. Yet, Advent also serves to prepare us for the glorious second coming of our Lord and Savior at the end of all things! Every day of the year however is an advent of sorts, for every day our Lord desires to come into our hearts. Let his advent then find welcome in our hearts.
On Tuesday December 25th we will celebrate the first day of Christmas. With January 6th, Epiphany, falling on Sunday this season we will have the full twelve days of Christmas.
Yours in the Sacred Heart,
Rev. Bryan J.B. Pedersen, Pastor
