 Loving and Losing: Why Augustine Matters
Can you love a God who lets you lose what you love? Dr. Erika Kidd, director of the St. Thomas Catholic Studies Graduate Program, unpacks St. Augustine’s attempt to find meaning in the passing of what he loves—and shows how his words continue to speak to us today. 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 at the Anderson Student Center, University of St. Thomas, St. Paul Campus (2115 Summit Avenue). The Holy Spirit Academy Drama Club invites you to bring your family and enjoy the light-hearted Shakespearean romantic comedy, “Much Ado About Nothing” (reimagined in the ‘50s).  It will be held on Friday, March 29 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, March 31 at 6:00 PM in the Social Hall of St. Henrys Catholic Church in Monticello.  Holy Spirit Academy is a 9-12 private high school teaching in the Catholic classical tradition and located on St. Henrys Catholic Church campus.  Ticket Price is $5 ea. or $20 per family

You are also invited to Holy Spirit Academy’s Fine Arts Night on Friday, April 5 from 6:30-8:30 PM.  Come to the art show, peruse the student art work, and choose your favorite for the “People’s Choice Award”.  While enjoying the beautiful student art work and sculptures, you will be entertained by the harmonies of the Holy Spirit Academy choir and small group ensembles.  Of course “refreshments” are a must and are available as you meander through the halls enjoying the fine arts of sight, sound, and friendship.
